The Center for Innovative Leadership is committed to transformative change in professional music through developing powerful and replicable models that propel art and education, sustain artists, and welcome all members of the community. Offering intensive seminars, workshops, and organizational consulting, the Center’s programs are each designed to serve specific cohorts in arts management, from rising professionals in the field to senior staff to board chairs. All programs offered are open to SFCM students to audit or actively participate.


The Center is committed to the philosophy that each organization must function within a unique community and economic ecosystem, and believes the path to success is leading with imagination, courage, and optimism while applying skillful execution of key initiatives and iterative design conjoined with a clever financial plan.

Summer Institute for Arts Leadership 2024

A weeklong, seminar-style immersive experience for Arts Leaders of today and tomorrow, hosted at the ߲ݴý Francisco Conservatory of Music and guided by thought leaders and taste makers across a wide range of disciplines within our field.

When: Monday, June 3, 2024 - Friday, June 7, 2024
Application Deadline: May 1, 2024

Full Attendee Tuition: includes morning sessions, afternoon workshops / sessions / breakout discussions and each night's evening panel discussion.

Evening Panel Tickets: only include the evening panel discussions.

Continuing Education Credits
CEUs will be available to earn. (max 3 CEUs = 30 hours, full participants daytime sessions; 1 CEU = 10 hours, evening attendees); A completed certificate will be awarded for full participation (both daytime workshops and evening sessions attended).
